Apple iPhone |
The Apple iPhone will combine three products -- a mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and an Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching -- into one small and lightweight handheld device.
The iPhone will also introduce an entirely new user interface based on a large multi-touch display and pioneering new software, letting users control everything with just thier fingers.
This smartphone will debut in June of 2007. |

RIM BlackBerry 8800 |
This cellular-wireless device has a full QWERTY keyboard and is large enough to qualify as a handheld, though many might call it a smartphone.
It is one of RIM's first models to include significant support for multimedia, including playing video and MP3 files. |

FlipStart Labs FlipStart 1.0 |
The FlipStart 1.0 will be a computer so small that it might tempt those who need more functionality that a handheld or smartphone can offer but don't want to carry around a full-size laptop.
In addition to its primary display, it will have a 1.9-inch external screen that can show information from Microsoft Outlook, including the user's email, calendar, and contacts. |
